I am first and foremost a husband and a dad. Beyond that, I consider myself to be a generalist with a passion for life-long learning and collecting work experiences. Some may say that makes me a "pracademic," because I am continuously learning while also practicing in my field. My wide range of experience includes over 10 years in the finance industry as an investment advisor and banker, 20 years of military experience, and eight years in emergency management/homeland security. Rather than becoming a narrow expert on a small part of any field, I am an expert in learning about the various aspects of a field and applying concepts learned from other fields to create new and improved ways of doing things. My goal in life is for someone at my funeral to say, "He gave more than he took."
